Aidan Byrnes crafts detailed soundscapes, often complimenting various mediums, with a portfolio that includes original music for student films and the Lindenwood University Theater's production of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale. Aidan's sound features a mix of drones, pulsing rhythms, spectral techniques, and aleatoric elements that marry organic spontaneity with meticulous arrangement.
Aidan is proficient at audio DSP programming, using tools like MaxMSP, Pure Data, and Faust to create audio effects, instruments, sequencers, and other compositional tools. This skill showcases his dedication to experimentation and exploring the intricacies of music technology.
In 2023, Aidan performed as a member of a rock ensemble during Lindenwood University's Winter Concert series. During which, he performed student works, including one of his own, Static, etc., a three-movement chamber rock piece incorporating cassette tape loops. Demonstrating proficiency on keyboards and extended techniques on electric guitar, he showcased a captivating performance that highlighted his versatility as a musician. His ability to navigate diverse musical elements reflects his passion for pushing artistic boundaries.
Aidan's creative journey has also ventured into game development and the visual arts. From releasing a mobile game in high school to studying graphic design and traditional animation at a summer program at Truman University, Aidan's diverse interests highlight his eagerness to embrace and master new creative challenges.
Currently pursuing a degree in Music Business and Entrepreneurship at Lindenwood University and set to graduate in the spring of 2026.
